My name is Dr. Blayde Melaney and I reside in the Eckville rural area. As a new Chiropractic practice in the Town of Eckville, I look forward to meeting new patients and providing chiropractic care for adults, seniors, students, and children while using a holistic care approach. This includes chiropractic adjustments and alternative therapies to achieve optimum health and wellness, thus getting you back to feeling good, relieving pain, and achieving your potential with daily activities or helping you exceed as an elite athlete.

My Background:

I am proud to return to the Eckville area after my studies, where my family currently resides. My Mother, Sheryl was born and raised at Eckville and my Grandfather, Vince Vansco lived at Eckville for over 50 years while providing Veterinary care to the community and surrounding area. During my Minor Hockey career, I enjoyed playing for the Eckville Eagles as well as competed many years in the Eckville Rodeo. I enjoy participating in many sports such as Tie-down roping in Rodeo, Free-style & Downhill skiing, Golfing, Paddle-boarding, Mountain biking, Track & Field, Badminton, Working out at the Gym, Camping, Hiking, and Trail-riding in the Mountains as well as travelling to other countries and spending time with my family, my dog, and our horses.​

Professional Studies:

Becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic included 7 years of Post-secondary studies starting with two years at Red Deer College Bachelor of Science - Kinesiology program, then transferring to the University of Lethbridge for two more years to complete my Degree with a Bachelor of Science - Kinesiology with Honors with Great Distinction. The last three years, I attended the University of Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, USA where I obtained a secondary Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology and completed my Doctorate in Chiropractic Suma Cum Laude. (with Great Distinction) After completing my Doctorate, I attended studies in Meridian, Texas, USA with ACES (Animal Chiropractic Education Source) an AVCA (American Veterinary Chiropractic Association) accredited school to expand my knowledge as an Animal Chiropractor for horses and dogs.
